Price of roofing nail in Nigeria

 The prices of roofing nails depend on the sizes. There are different sizes of roofing nails which serve different purposes. Some examples include ½ inches, 1 inch, 1½ inches, 2 inches, 3 inches, 4 inches, 6 inches, zinc nails, concrete nails, etc.

All the above-listed roofing nail sizes perform different functions during house roofing. The most commonly used for roofing of buildings are 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 inches.


Zinc nail 

Zinc nails are mostly used to roof buildings with metallic zinc. Metallic zincs are old-fashioned roofing sheets and aren’t mostly used in modern-day’s roofing. A zinc nail looks like an umbrella, the idea behind that umbrella-like design is to avoid leakage. The current price of zinc nails is N3,500 per pack and N700 per kg


Copper Nail

Copper Nails have a very high resistance to corrosion, this is why it’s very popular and one of the most preferred in roofing projects.

A kg of copper Nails costs about N700 naira. While the pack costs N3,500 and contains approximately 441 nails.


Tornado Nails

Tornado Nails are nails used on concrete walls and blocks. There is no concrete block that tornado nails cannot penetrate. They’re very strong. They’re also used for electrical fittings and window blind fittings and generally, they can be used to fasten any object on the walls. The current price of tornado nails costs N3,500 per pack.

Price of 3 inches and 4 inches bags of nails

3 inches, 4 inches, 5, and 6 inches all have the same price. A bag of these nails costs N11,000. Half the bag costs N5,500.


Price of 1 inch and 1½ inches Nails

1 inch and 1½ inches roofing nails are used for minor joining of woods where other nail sizes would be too big to be used. The two nail sizes have the same price. The current price of 1 inch and 1½ inches nails per bag is N24,000 while the pounds weight per kg is N500

1 inch and 1½ inches are more expensive than 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 inches nails.
